Why Human Trafficking

Unveiling the Hidden Realities for Immigrant Women. Discover the founder's personal journey and awaken to the stark truth: human trafficking lurks in unsuspecting places, affecting new immigrants in ways you may not realize.

  • Human trafficking is a pervasive issue that affects vulnerable populations, including new immigrants, in various forms such as labor exploitation and sex trafficking.
  • Many victims of human trafficking are deceived or coerced into situations where their freedom and basic human rights are violated.
  • By raising awareness about human trafficking among new immigrants, we can empower individuals to recognize the signs of exploitation and reach out for support.
  • It is essential to understand that human trafficking can happen anywhere, including in affluent neighborhoods and under the guise of legitimate employment opportunities.
  • Together, we can work towards preventing and combatting human trafficking by advocating for policies that protect the rights and dignity of all individuals, regardless of their background or status.

Join us in shedding light on this global issue and empowering vulnerable individuals to break free from exploitation.

Behind that smile was hidden pain.  Our Founder, Zimbabwean-born Teresa Dangwa, was being exploited at an office not too far from the White House by this well-known individual.
