Arise Pitch Competition offers opportunity for African immigrant and displaced women entrepreneurs at the early stages of their businesses to pitch for the chance to win up-to $5,000 and access to entrepreneurial development resources.
Arise Pitch Competition
Through this program, Diaspora Women Arise is dedicated to enabling the success of African women in business.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be newcomer in the US who has been here 0-3 years.
- Must be authorized to work in the US or proof of anticipated authorization within 6 months of starting our Entrepreneurship program.
- Woman, aged 18 or older at the time of application.
- Must be a participant in our Diaspora Women Arise Entrepreneurship Program.
- Must commit to starting a for-profit business in the US where they own majority shareholder.
- Understand that participation in program is at the discretion of Diaspora Women Arise leadership.
- Be available for all business workshops, Pitch coaching as well as Live Pitch event.
- Pitch coaches, judges, DWA board are ineligible to apply.
